Mobile banking has transformed the way we manage our finances, offering convenience and easy access right from our smartphones. The State Bank Financial app is a great example, providing a simple and secure way for customers to manage their accounts. The app offers a range of online banking features, including bill pay, eStatements, mobile deposit, external and internal funds transfers, and Zelle® for fast money transfers. One standout feature is Debit Card Controls, which allows users to customize and manage their debit and credit cards directly from the app. With Debit Card Controls, customers can set spending limits, block or unblock cards, and receive real-time transaction alerts, improving security and offering greater control over their finances. This combination of convenience and security makes mobile banking, especially with the State Bank Financial app, a valuable tool for managing money.

State Bank Financial Mobile App FAQs

Why is State Bank upgrading the mobile app?
As part of our digital banking enhancements, we are launching phase two of the Digital One Flex upgrade, which includes improvements to the mobile app.  This mobile app upgrade includes new features like password resets within the app, access to full account numbers, and setting up external transfers for a seamless banking experience.

When will the mobile banking upgrade take place?
The upgrade will occur on Wednesday April 15, 2025.

Will I need to do anything to prepare for the upgrade?
If your device is set to update apps automatically, no action is needed. Otherwise, you can manually update the app in your device’s app store. If you don’t update by Thursday, April 16, 2025, you will see an error message prompting you to update to the newest version available.

Will I still be able to access my accounts during the upgrade?
Yes.

Will my account history and transactions transfer over?
Yes.

Will my scheduled payments, recurring payments, or account-to-account transfers be affected?
No, these will not be affected. All scheduled payments, recurring transfers, and account-to-account transfers will continue without interruption and will automatically carry over to the upgraded platform.

Will my username and password change?
Your username will remain the same unless it contains invalid characters, in which case you’ll be prompted to update it. Password updates may be required periodically as part of our security measures.

How can I update my login credentials?
Login credentials can now be updated within the mobile app as well as a web browser. Once logged in, you can access the More menu on the bottom right side of the screen. Under the Settings banner, there is a Login & Security section in which you can update your username, password, and your contact information.

How was I notified of this update?
Customers were notified by a pop-up message within the online banking browser platform, posts on State Bank’s social media and website, and handouts distributed by tellers to customers who visited a branch.

Why can’t I find the upgraded State Bank Mobile app in the store?
If your phone’s manufacturer does not support the new app due to an outdated device, the app may not appear in the store. You can still access State Bank Financial Online Banking via a web browser.

Will my card control settings be affected?
Yes, card control settings will reset due to the platform upgrade. If you have existing card control preferences set, you will need to recreate them in the new mobile app.

Service interruptions may occur between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14. As of the go-live date, Wednesday, April 15, card controls will only be available in the updated State Bank Mobile app.
